To Freelancers
We invite you to submit an article to Esther's Trumpet. Articles are not posted immediately to the Web site. Each submission must be approved by the Web site editor, who may edit content for appropriateness. There may be a delay of 24-48 hours for any submission while the web site editor reviews and approves it.
We would like to have the option of including all local stories and pictures from the print edition online. A good online edition builds readership and interest in the newspaper and a healthy newspaper can continue to publish your work.
Due to the June 25, 2001, ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court in the New York Times vs. Tasini case, we need to confirm with all our freelance contributors that we can include your articles and photos in the online edition of Esther's Trumpet.com, and that the use of your material includes both print and online publication rights. Until we get your confirmation, we will have to exclude your work from Esther's Trumpet.com.
The fastest way for you to do this is to download and print out our RELEASE FORM*, which must be signed and mailed back to us. You may also fax the signed form to (334) 284-0555 attention Editor. We regret the inconvenience this poses, and thank you for your trouble.
